Mrs. Purrl, thanks for the pic link...........nice shots. He is a hot looking almost 60 year old guy :combust:
arw, I just love that happy, dancing smiley :happydance:. Enjoy the 3 days and maybe the new Maiden will come as a pleasant surprise delivery. Was the store the Stillwater store?
kelly  I am afraid to ask what your new hours are *cringes*

I finally watched Walk The Line and I loved  it! I can't believe how close voice-wise they were. I may have to purchase the soundtrack.

Apparently my store is having a sale, a TWO day sale (!) Friday and Saturday..............Commercial has run 5 times in the past 10 minutes, I kid you not..........:banghead:
I can't escape work :scream:

:yikes:

I loved Walk the Line. I'd see that one again for sure.

No Maiden today but ups says it's in Phx so maybe tomorrow.

And nope, not the Stillwater store. That's more of a Williams Sonoma type of a store....veeeerry expensive! This place that closed was actually on the same street as my last apartment that I lived in before I went back to school. I'd go there on the weekends and never buy anything because I didn't know what anything was. Now I do and I want it all and it's gone! :(

This is what I bought :nerd:

I like to decorate the sides of round cakes with solid colored sprinkles, mainly chocolate or white. It gives it a more elegant look. I can easily find those at Michaels or even a grocery store. But I had to buy PURPLE  just in case someone needs a Vikings cake or something one day. Also, I'd like to make my grandpa some 4th of July treats so I bought some cool red/white/blue stars. We use tons and tons of edible glitter at work so I had to leave with one container. That tiny little thing was $6! I only bought one because they last a long time and I'll only use it for certain things. The shaker was an additional $.39. They can't just give it to you for the price of the glitter? :| Then....I've always wanted some Thanksgiving chocolate molds but the only thing they had was a turkey mold. That's better than nothing so this year everyone is going to get a chocolate turkey! The pyramid mold will be cool to have as chocolate garnishes on cakes. Finally, I bought some fondant stuff. The 2 plastic sheets are used on the sides of fondant wrapped cakes to emboss the design. You can then fill in the dots or lines or keep it as is. I bought a tiny book to go with it because it was cheap and there are 2 pictures in it that I really liked. It's probably a brochure they get for free. Lord knows I've seen a million of them come in at my work daily. But I really wanted these pics for ideas so whatever. I can't wait to start making stuff at home. I keep buying tons of cake molds and other tools when I see them on clearance so now I just need people to make stuff for!

nice collection of supplies............you can use the purple sprinkles for celebrating Mr. Favre joining the Vikes...........
Just found this as a comment in a blog:
"Didn't it make stuff come up the back of your throat when Favre used the word "we" in describing the Vikings' chances in '09? " Yes, because I'm a purple-bleeding Vikings fan who doesn't want the player she spent years trash-talking suddenly being the player she's supposed to cheer on...
arw, was that you

I feel like I'm about 12 right now....my sister is out at a goodbye party and I said I'd do some cleaing since we're having round 1 of movers come down tomorrow night to help us. Haven't done a damn thing yet. I feel like my mommy is going to come home and yell at me. :der:

I've been doing the whole "last time I'll go here...." game all week. I want to go home, really really bad, but I'm going to miss my little desert city so much. I lived and worked under Camelback mountain. It's going to be so weird to go about my day to day business and not see the mighty camel wherever I go....

I had your face pop into my head when I read that comment :lmao:

Feeling torn sucks,. Just think, you get to go back to AZ when you see U2, it is something to really look forward to.

Just flipped on the Weather Channel :nerd:.............. Southeast Minny is getting nailed by some BIG storms. Near Rochester.
Austin area had a tornado :(

ok that was just totally cruel.....

the doorbell rang, I looked outside and there was a ups truck!!!!!!!! :hyper: So yeah my cd is here!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT  It was a package for my sister! :madwife: My package arrived in Phx at 7:10 this morning. I want it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not moved from this spot all night  I got home from my errands at about 4:30 and aside from my 20 minutes cleaning the bathroom, I haven't left the " couch" (futon mattress that's on the floor) at all. That's about 10 hours of nothingness. I could stay here for another few hours but I think I'll find little Lil and snuggle up in bed.....

I'm with Schmeg, working the goofy hours. First week, I was like "okay, this is temporary", this week I'm "um, this is temporary right?". If it goes into next week, then it's going to start pissing me off :grumpy:

Monday - 9 - 6
Tuesday - 9:30 - 11, go home for two hours because they don't pay overtime anymore, come back for 1 - 8:30
Wednesday - 12:30 - 8:30
Thursday - 1 - 9
Friday - 7:30 - 4:30

Those are pretty crappy! Mine this week:
Mon: 8-5
Tues: 11-8
Wed: 8-6
Thur: 8-4
Fri: 11-8

And next week I work 7-6 Mon-Thur and have Friday off.

It was Let's Make a Deal with my boss...I was supposed to do 8-8 Tuesday and Thursday and leave at noon on Friday (our evening person is on vacation), but Jeff and I are taking a 3-day house-hunting weekend in ATL next week and I have used more vacation time than I have actaully earned this year and I felt guilty leaving at 12 one Friday and taking the next off...so there it is. And next week is our evening person's last week so we all get to pick a day to work 11-8.

My coach from back home sent me out two dresses to give to my new skating club out here...and they are REALLY musty. Now my kitchen smells like basement. I'd hang them outside but they are also not pretty and I'm afraid the condo association would fine me.

No one is confirming the temporary-ness? Sending *this is only temporary wishes* to you . Split shifts, especially, make me :grumpy:
Miss ya around here............

Sounds a little like scary Christmas retail hours :runsawayscreamingfromthethoughtofChristmas:
House hunting should be interesting and fun-ish :)

BASEBALL SIZE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS TO 80 MPH...AND TORNADOES WILL
BE POSSIBLE WITH ANY STORM THAT DEVELOPS THROUGH THIS EVENING.

PEOPLE SHOULD REMAIN ALERT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS EVENING.
NOW IS THE TIME TO PREPARE FOR SEVERE WEATHER BY HAVING AN ACTION
PLAN READY SHOULD THESE STORMS APPROACH.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OR A TORNADO WATCH WILL LIKELY BE ISSUED FOR
SOUTHERN WISCONSIN IN THE NEXT FEW HOURS. REMEMBER...A WATCH MEANS
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE...AND A WARNING MEANS SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING OR IMMINENT AND ACTION IS REQUIRED TO
PROTECT LIVES AND PROPERTY.

^ya know, that is how my vacation began last year too :| Our turn for hail  oh joy

tornados not so fun but the rest of it sounds lovely! After 16 months of nothing but beautiful summer weather I'm just dying for rain. I think it's rained a total of about 10 times in the whole time I've been here.

and holy crap on those goofy hours. That's one thing I love about my job now. I might have to work all hours of the night due to OT but at least my start time never changes.

my sister's boyfriend's brother, really my sister's friend and the reason she met her bf to begin with....and their friend are on their way from MN right now and will be here soon. They are helping fix up stuff around the house and then will drive the 2 SUV's and the boat, jetski, and motorcycle back to MN. The jetski and motorcycle will be on a trailer and the boat will be on the larger truck. Have fun with that! :yikes: Gonna be a weird few days. The girls are going to freak out with having guests over, especially the dog who does not like men.

Yay! You got it

I can see why you are looking forward to weather diversity
I like thunderstorms, but not wild ones with lots of lightening........lightening just freaks me out.

That does not sound like a fun drive with those things. How are the animals gonna handle the long trip to MN?

The red box has entered the state.......to the west of us. I think I will get comfy and head to bed......got the weather radio plugged in so if something gets issued the radio will go off and so will I, off the bed in alarm, that is.
Nighty night.................

well Roxy will be fine. She's a very mellow girl and will just curl up in the back and sleep. She's not the type that has to have her nose out the window. Lily on the other hand will be in her crate and on benadryl. I guess that's the suggested drug for traveling with cats per her vet and also her friend that is a vet tech. That's how she got here. At first we were going to split them up so Lily doesn't get upset that she's in a crate while Roxy is free in the back but then my sister decided that Lily will be drugged and also that she doesn't want to be split up from her. I think they'll be fine. It's going to be a long, long journey for us all next week. I'm not thrilled about the idea of driving 10 hours a day alone but we are never going to be split up so it's not like I'll be all alone. I've driven back from Cleveland to MN, which is roughly a 14 hour drive, in one day and I did all of the driving so I should be ok in that respect but at least I had someone to talk to.

Roxy is totally clueless as to what is going on. I'm not sure if it's just how she is or because this is the only house she's lived in while my sister has owned her. But Lily has lived in a few places with my sister and is hip to what is going on. She's meowing a lot, which upsets me because I don't like to see her upset. I know she'll be fine. They'll both be fine but they're still mine and my sister's #1 priority. We don't have kids but with the way we talk about them you'd think we do.

oil change tomorrow :ugh:

at least the place I go to is across the street from a mall! Last time I went to this place it took 3 hours until they called
