Back on the blue crack after a long break
i was thinking about how i know some people on here have really interesting jobs and such...and i was wanting to know more about my pleban sisters:wink:
so post your job- interesting or not.
and if youre a student, then what youre studying and stuff.
:D
post away!

I was going to post the same thread that's soo weird! Anyway, Real Estate is my forte..

well i'm a student.

but my passion is politics.

my goals:
to be a political consultant and run my own firm with a partner (i already ahve one!)
work on campaigns, first congressional and senatorial, then work my way up to presidential.
after working on a hopefully successful presidential campaign, be the political advisor to the president of the united states (kinda like josh on 'the west wing')

after that, i'll be a political analyst for CNN, and perhaps run for office myself one day.

lofty goals, but i have faith in myself!

archaeology

I'm trained now, so I can say I'm an archaeologist, instead of saying "I'm studying anthropology in order to be an archaeologist" and then have to explain to people what anthro is and how it relates to archaeology.

They always say, "Now what is anthropology again?" Like they USED to know.

I'm an assistant manager at a coffee shop. I was working part time and going to school part time, studying sociology at a community college. I'm currently taking time off from that to 1) Save money and 2) look in to schools, finacial aid, scholarships, etc.

I'm a sales associate at a women's clothing store and a receptionist for a construction equipment company.

Mostly I'm a computer technician. I do this full time in the summer and 13-20 hrs a week during school. I'm also a TA for five sections of a class which is another 7 hrs a week. And I'm a full time student (college junior) studying Business Communications.

I'm a 3rd year college student (full time), majoring in Political Science and Sociology and minoring in Linguistics. I'm also a TA for 3 classes (3 sections, that is) and I'm...uh, I'm not really sure what my other job title is, I think I'm the Assistant to the Assistant Director of Foundation Relations. Something like that.

Can you guys guess what I do?
officially - RN/BSN critical care/trauma specialist
which means I never get to sit down at work

oh my gosh ! i love reading all this! its cracking me up.
one4u2 i read your mind
u2democrat, you have your life totally figured out! i wish i had it all together like that:huh:
kristie i totally wanted to study that subject and then decided i wasnt smart enough
ylime i worked in a coffee shop! it rocked except my shitty boss. he went from being a marine to a sheriff to being a coffee shop owner. NOT a good transition
bootleg- you do too much!!!!!(can you help me with my computer:ohmy: ):D
whatre you doing after youre done with school ultraviolet?
kellyahern- i feel your pain. senior olympics*shudder* i know old people too well to think anything good could come from that except maybe for their doctors wallets
or maybe nurse chrissi!!!

^^ Ditto to Souly's post - try and have some great days Kelly!

I'm a 4th year pharmacy student -

My internship and masters is slowly sneaking up on me... :shifty: ...but that means I'll graduate in little less than two years! :D:up:

... but then I'll probably continue to study, so...

I'm an office manager/school administrator/bookkeeper/accountant/etc/etc.

LOL but my goal is to be a spanish teacher or a translator (will be going back to school next year )

fun thread!

i am a former professional student struggling to come to grips with reality outside of academia (scary stuff ). i love school, and would stay in forever if it were practical... i graduated with my law degree last year and i have since been struggling with what direction to go in. my dream is to get into international human rights law, but it's a tough field to break into unless you have a certain level of experience and a hefty bank account to fund the meagrely paid entry level positions. (i learned this the hard way.) i recently figured out a more practical plan and i'm in the process of hitting up law firms who practice employment law (local but still human rights related).

This is so much fun to read! Ladies, you're such hard workers!

I'm currently a Junior in college majoring in English Literature with a Writing Emphasis and I'm double minoring in Politics and Pre-Law. (No, I don't want to be a teacher or a lawyer.) I work at See's Candies part time.

I'm planning on going on to Grad school in 2006 and getting my masters in Literature or Writing and hopefully going on to the publishing world.

The Politics and Pre-Law thing is for the lobbyist in me.

:cute: Those mini fahs again!

I am an assitant manager at a GapKids store, but at the moment I'm sort of the acting store manager without the title or the raise. :|

It's a well-rounded group we have here! Keeps things interesting, doesn't it? :D I'm a licensed Property & Casualty insurance agent - I write auto policies, homeowners, renter's policies, Worker's Comp, general liability policies, etc. etc.

I also work a second job with a friend's company cleaning office buildings 4 nights a week.

Well, I'm a fiduciary accountant in a law firm, but I always wanted to be an astronaut... (Guess I got a little off course - BAD pun intended. Sorry!)

This is my first post ot his site. But I was really excited to see what other U2 nuts do for a living. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. However, I work on an inpatient pscyhiatric unit currently doing mostly casemanagement and crisis management. I am the youngest of my co-workers who constantly ask me about my U2 calender I hang above my desk. A day does not go by without a comment. Anyways, thanks for the fun thread. It's fun to post and not just lurk.

welcome to the site, kmccabe! if you're looking for fellow u2 nuts, you've certainly come to the right place.
