The whole season revolves around Scottie. ... If he stagnates, or (god forbid) gets seriously hurt, then this entire season will just be a waiting game to find out which lottery pick the Raps get.

Now that the Bucks are in the midst of a complete collapse, I'm actually kind of hoping they are in the draft lottery and somehow luck out with a high draft pick and maybe trade Dame away for some picks or someone younger. I don't know enough about financials of the NBA to know if that possible. All of my knowledge eggs are in the NFL basket. I don't even know if there's anyone coming out of college that could be a difference maker, but what I stated above would be my best case scenario right now.

Welp... I've got bad news, and I've got worse news.

Bucks are in some shit.

They either figure it out, or they trade Giannis. There's no real alternative.

That's some Billy King level GM work in Milwaukee.
To be fair - I think Milwaukee knew that they had to go all in or Giannis was going to ask out. So they did, it isn't working, and now they're right where they began - where they need to trade Giannis, which will help restock their draft picks.

Maybe even to Brooklyn for their own pick...

I think the real fear is that if you trade Giannis, you go back to 40 years of obscurity, much like Hewson thought would happen to the Packers when they traded Rodgers away. :D

But in all seriousness, whatever happens happens. If we go back to just celebrating making the playoffs and never really have a chance to compete again, as a fan, I'll always have 2021. NBA is a big market league, and teams like Milwaukee aren't meant to succeed, so I'll always cherish that year.

i love how ESPN goes all in on a big front page story on how JJ Redick has managed to "change the Lakers" without changing the roster.

they're 6 and 4 and sitting in the 7 hole... which is, ya know, EXACTLY WHERE THEY FINISHED LAST YEAR. AND THE YEAR BEFORE.
