From Andy Holt's web site:

... and a stunning set of Redanka remixes of the brand new U2 single 'Magnificent'. Coming in two versions - the 360 Full Vocal Version and the 180 stripped back version - this looks set to do the same damage as Andy's mix of 'Vertigo' back in 2005. Currently sat at number one in this weeks UK Buzz Chart, this package is destined to be all over the globe by the summer.......listen out for it!!!

very cool, hoping that the 180 stripped back version is atmospheric.

I am not sure whether I am allowed to share this thought with you or not. If not, please delete this post.

If yes, entering u2, magnificent, remix in the search engine of your choice delivers you five magnificent remixes including the two Fred Falkes, but also one of the Redankas.

We need a Magnificent remix poll soon. I still haven't listened to them all yet, but this is the first remix experience I've enjoyed since Lemon.

I think my favorite is the Redanka mix - didn't change too much with the original, just enhanced the songs' inherent dance characteristics

Though Fred Faulke did a commendable job, too... close second

Holy shit I think Magnificent just went #2 for me on my all time favorite U2 songs.

When it first came out I maintained on this board that it was essentially house music and all it needed to really soar live was a bit of speeding up.

I'm praying U2 does this live. It's just INCREDIBLE!! INCREDIBLE!!!

remixes on the album? don't think so. they are great remixes indeed, but the way it is on the album and they way they've been playing it live have been great.

i will say i do hope they extend the bridge a bit with those gorgeous strings (very prevalent in the longer faulke mix) live, but other than that, i love it just the way it is- ditto the remixes.
