Nooooooo way. nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooo.

My plan is to find a Target or a Wal-Mart or whatever just off the interstate on the way, and just buy whatever I might need. I'm adding a head lamp to that list.

Also added to my packing list: duct tape! Now I can tape a tee shirt over the window so I can change my clothes.

This is going to be ..... um ............... well, it had better be a goddamned good show is all I'm saying.

There is no way on god's green earth I could sleep with a second person in a regular sized car. How would that even work? Me in the backseat, someone else in the front passenger seat, reclined all the way .... and crushing my lower half?

I'm going to struggle to get enough sleep as it is.

Pray for a backseat that opens into the trunk.

I'm small enough that a regular backseat should be fine. If not .... well, then I'm going to be really effing cranky by Sunday.

I;ve got room for one more maybe 2 more in my tent. There;s currently gonna be 2 of us in it and it's a 4 man tent 10 ft by 8ft so hopefully plenty of room.
Anyone here is welcome to stay. Entry fee is usually alcohol and a smile :D

Will be getting there about 2 or 3 in the afternoon on the 29th July.

If things are very dire, I might make new friends and join them in a tent.

..... but only if there are other females within. ;)

Both people in the front seats, reclined back all the way!

Oh, I'll gladly make [boozey or non] friends & sleep in someone's tent. If they snore more than gently I'll have to move back to the car, though.

I don't know that I could sleep like that.

In any case, I will have you know that I worry and complain far less in person than I do on the internet.

Because I know you guys are all mentally backing away from me slowly.

It's the only way I've ever slept in my car. Haha, I don't think I could sleep in the backseat, it's too short.

WE SHALL SEE. On Friday. ;D

I may be on drugs Friday night. :shifty:

We'll see how many of my precious new pills I need to take between Minneapolis and Moncton to get me off the ledge and mellow me out.

There's a Walmart about 10 minutes away from the campsite. I googled mapped directions already

I gotta pick up some bottled water and snacks there.

I'm planning on changing clothes in the portapotties :crack: My tent can be a little see-through.

It's very possible that we may be sleeping in the line the night before. After doing triathlons, I have no quams about changing in front of people.

WOW! Did not know about this. That is steep.

We are coming from PEI on the day of the show (and going back). Looks like you can pay the toll in Charlottetown. Would you suggest pre-paying? does it make the crossing easier?

I think we will buy parking at the casino and hike it from there. This little show is getting more and more expensive. It just may end up costing me as much as Honolulu did. :yikes:

Pre-paying doesn't really help, all they do is give you a gift card and you still have to go through the same lines... I usually buy it at the Esso by the bridge though because I get Aeroplan point there lol - however there is a self-serve lane at the bridge where you can pay with credit/debit cards and that line is usually the shortest. Either way the lines are never too long anyway and they'll more than likely have all 7 or 8 toll booths open that weekend for all the Islanders heading over!

Trust me PEI's worth it! I mean it was good enough for Will and Kate right?! haha Lot's to see and do on the Island!

Unless North American portapoopers are different to UK ones you won't want to manoeuvre too much, touch any surfaces or take any clean clothes into them.

Some of the ones I've been in are pretty clean. I talked to the guy on the phone that runs this camping place and he said they always keep everything spotless.

I'll just find a tree to hide behind and change

We should decorate our tents with U2 pictures :shifty:

Hey Kev the compost toilets at glasto had huge room. Enough for a real party!!!! ;) they were spotless too :) Thank god!!!

We'll have to compare shopping lists! I'm taking my SUV over on the dreaded ferry for the very first time...should be interesting. I've had offers from both of my cousins who live very close to Moncton to stay with them, but I somehow like the idea of roughing it with other U2 folks more.

I'm visualizing two or three days of not shaving, rocking out, and pretending it's Woodstock, circa 1969.
