you want to carpool with a total stranger? :reject: :shifty: I'm kind of weird like that. We'll have to pm and maybe meet up before this....just to make sure you want to spend 10 hours in a car with me. :) I've met and traveled all over the US and to Ireland with people from this site. But I just like to meet before traveling.

also, if you just got tickets recently, where did you get them? I've only ever gotten tickets from this site for last minute concerts. So far doesn't look like anyone is selling GA. I hate ebay...I'd rather do Stubhub.
 
I'm kind of reckless like that. ;D Sure meet up or whatnot is fine. I just hung out (roommies/travelled w/one plus Red Rocks road trip & stuff w/another) peeps from here too. I'm not a dangerous person, though I can be stubborn (just ask the total b--- next to me at the beginning of SLC's show).
 
sorry, hope I didn't offend. I'll talk with my friend and see what she thinks. Before I figure out travel arrangements I have to find tickets, which I will be doing later in the weekend.
 
I was also looking at the St Louis show weeks back, they had those GA tickets SRO, i thought that was kinda wierd.....
Dang now i have ideas flowing, if the show isnt high demand may be worth the trip...??
 
You can carpool with me too! ;D (In '09 I went to Houston without tickets and easily bought them from a fan once there. It's a risk, sure, but as long as you're not trying it at NYC or some really high-demand show, I think it'll be fine.)

I thought they had said 10,000 GA, but it could be more than that.
I think it will be around 50,000 total.

This should be a fairly well-organized GA. The U of M cops are strict, but they do plan ahead. Cross your fingers.
 
Was Winnipeg a university stadium too?

I got a seat originally because I wanted some time to check out Minneapolis as I've never been there. But Minneapolis might be one of the few places where it will still be comfortable doing GA in July.

How early are you guys arriving in town (for out-of-towners)?
 
No sure yet. I might see how Chicago goes before I make firm plans for this one. I'm thinking maybe around 8 or 9 the night before.

Too bad they aren't using the Metrodome, for the added excitement of seeing who the roof will collapse on.

I wish I had more time in Minneapolis too, because it's so far, who knows when I'll ever be back. But alas.

I'm arriving around 4:00 pm the evening before. That was the soonest I could get there because I'm taking the bus from NY the morning after the Jersey show.
 
Home now at last... SUPER AWESOME to meet you in Winnipeg Kramwest... had a great time. Now my husband is sure of coming to Minneapolis... will need to find him a GA ticket. Anyone have any leads on one?

I know someone that has a GA to sell. My friend was going to buy it from her but now she's not able to go to the show. Not sure if the ticket is still available but I sent her an email inquiring.
 
vjacqb, we are arriving at around 2 on the Friday.

I'm looking for 2 GA's as well, for some buddies we made in the GA line in Winnipeg!:wink:
 
I think my flight gets in around 2-ish on Friday. Would love to car/cab-pool to the Days Inn or other University-adjacent hotels with anyone that's getting in around that time!
