I think it's downright tragic that Dirty Day has only been played live 10 times ever. It's waaaaay to good of a song to have been played so little, and not even once in North America.

I could not sit on my hands while such a travesty is going on in this world. I, like Bono, am a man of action. I have created an online petition to get U2 to play this song on the third leg of the Vertigo Tour.

I am not asking for your money, I am asking for your voice. I figure if we get 1 million people to sign this petition they will have to listen to us!

So please, sign this petition and tell your friends to sign as well. Please keep checking this thread, as I may design t-shirts that you can purchase to help spread the word. Thank you and God bless.

I was seriously considering ordering some Dirty Day wristbands. They would be navy blue and say Dirty Day on them.

I could get them for 2.50 a piece, if anybody would be interested in obtaining one, let me know.

We could wear them to concerts to show our support for Dirty Day. This all kind of started off as a joke, but I'm going all out now. It's my goal in life to get Dirty Day to be played at least once on this tour, but I need all of your help. Let's make it happen.
 
We fully admit that the version on the album was not able to expose all of the song's awesomeness, but it is a fact that the live version is so good that it brings many people close to orgasm.

currently, we are only 999,992 signatures away from our goal!!

now of course I am against shady practices, but we may need to get a little creative to get reach our goal of 1 million. if you have a nickname or something, and another e-mail address, it could be good to sign up with that name as well.

we need all the help we can get, but i think we can do it!

We sould petition for an entire concert of only "Day" songs:

New Year's Day, Beautiful Day, Dirty Day, Night and Day, A Day Without Me, Another Day, Some Days are Better Than Others, Sunday Bloody Sunday...round out the main set with cover versions of Soundgarden's "The Day I Tried to Live" and "Shout" with special guest Otis Day ...then throw everyone a curve ball and start the encore with "Last Night on Earth", and finish the show the obligatory two playings of "Vertigo", one right after the other.
