Less than $15 >>El Cortez, Downtown Grand (might be weekend only). Most others probably $15 and up.

Do you have any recommendations for $15 blackjack tables on Freemont Headache? My 23 year old son is doing very well here at Linq. He refuses to play the $25 tables.[emoji38]
Best low limit game in town is at El Cortez. $15 single deck. You can occasionally find it for $10. And they keep the beer right behind the dealers, which is a plus.

I like playing at Plaza as well. Good $10 tables.

Closer to you is Ellis Island, just off strip, behind Horseshoe. You can find $5 tables there, all at 3:2, and they brew their own beer. Only place in town where you can get draft beer at the tables

If you’re into staying close and don’t need much in terms of accommodations, Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino was perfect for my quick in and out. Dingy, but the right way! Short walk to Sphere, and very affordable. Go to go on a hunt for In N Out after the show, it’s in Linq store court yard walk way when you’re walking toward Ferris wheel. Thank you all for ALL the tips!!

Could use some tips, my flight Wednesday is supposed to get in at 10:30am. From the East Coast, so long flight and jet lag.

My plan is to just Uber to Sphere from the airport to get my wristband, but what is the short easy version of where to do that? Then walk to Linq to try to get an early check in before 4 pm. Post pandemic that's a new money maker that I wasn't aware of. Messaged them and it's 60 bucks which I think is gouging but will pay it if I have to. For a one night stay too but whatever.

If not I'll just leave my suitcase with them and walk to see the Zoo Station thing, would like to see that. Any tips about that?

I'm leaving Thursday morning because that's all I can afford and all the time I can take off from work. Going through some really tough things in life and just want to be able to enjoy it in spite of that.

Sorry to hear things are tough.

I think that sounds like a solid plan. I would compare Uber price before going that route. Taxi fare is flat rate and you can save a couple of dollars if you pay cash.

No tips on Zoo Station. It is all pretty simple really. Mainly photo ops. You can spend as much or as little time there as you wish. By the time you do the line, drop off suitcase and do Zoo Station, I don't think you will need to use the early check in.

The line check in is on the north-east side of the Sphere, on Sands. Maybe that's obvious to the cabbies, but idk. OH YEAH, cab charges $3 to use a credit card, fyi. Still may be cheaper than Uber/Lyft. (or just use cash, like Miroslava said)

Yeah, the hotels want to charge to do a late check out too, argh. Mine did hold my bags without a charge though.

LMK if you want pre-warning on merch prices!

Linq is especially stingy about the early check in fee, largely because check in at Linq is largely automated via kiosk. If you check in after 1 pm you'll probably get that fee chopped in half - so maybe go and grab lunch first before heading over?

you're very unlikely to get a real human being when you check in - so the fee will be the fee. it'll decrease in cost the closer you get to check in time.

you can also leave your suitcase with the bellhop at Venetian or Palazzo and save yourself a trip.

Thanks everyone, yes I can only imagine the merchandise prices. I will just have a small carry on and budget so that will help with that.

Back in Jan 2019 Park MGM there had kiosk check in and out well before the pandemic started. I haven't even stayed in a hotel since then, between covid and working and budget...but the early check in/ late check out fees are an obvious money grab just like the resort fees.

So cabs are cheaper than Uber and Lyft there? That's unusual

Does Sphere send a separate email about GA procedures? I only received one over the weekend about general info.

On cabs vs ride share... it depends.

Cabs have a flat rate. I'm not totally sure if Sphere is in the flat rate zone, actually, but obviously Venetian is.

So no matter how busy it gets, the cabs are the same rate. The rate to Venetian or Linq is $30, plus tip, plus a processing fee if you pay by credit card (no fee if you pay in cash).

Ride share is the same as it is everywhere. Price goes up or down based on demand.

My Lyft from LAS to Linq was $18 bucks.

But if you get in when it's slammed that rate could be $50 bucks.

So just check when you deplane. If the ride share rate is less than the cab flat rate, go to ride share. If it's more, go to the cab line. At the time you're coming in my guess is that ride share will be cheaper.

Has anyone seen A Day In The Life Of Edge, is it worth seeing? If it is I would try if I had time. Not if it's 25 or 50 bucks though, as much as I like him. Will probably just end up on You
Tube eventually.

Also how can I win lots of money in the slot machines at the airport before my departing flight?? I know nothing about how to win from them but I did still win 30 to 40 bucks on the Wheel of Fortune one in 2019. Then I quit, just wanted enough money for some food and drink.

Someone won over a million on a Wheel OF slot machine at Harry Reid over the Summer, I remember reading about that. I don't gamble other than occasional lottery so I'm clueless.

The movie theatre selections are criminal and lazy. Absolutely nothing new. Good audio quality I guess, but you are better off just wandering around I think.

It's all pure luck. The airport slot machines are alleged to be "looser" than elsewhere, but it's likely just an urban myth.

Only slot type games that give you any control over the outcome are video poker or any electronic versions of table games.

And by control I simply mean you can increase your odds of winning. It's still all luck of the draw.

Agreed.

Even if it was something new I probably would waste my Vegas time seeing it, but I'd at least consider it for a moment before shuffling off to the blackjack tables.

These choices were incredibly lackluster

I would say that taking a taxi from the airport to the Sphere would be the fastest and cheapest way to go. The taxi area is just outside the doors of the baggage claim area. Cash is the best to avoid the credit card fee. Uber pick up is on a different level/area of the airport. We took a taxi to Linq and Uber for the rest of the trip. Including back to the airport. We had a great stay at Linq. They sent an email to us that our room was ready around 3:30pm. Also, we left our bags with the bellhop, and called them when we got to our room, and they brought them up to us which was nice.

I didn't compare both at once, could totally be a fluke, but Lyft was like $4-5 more sameish time, sameish route, different day. You couldn't *call* a cab to my hotel due to construction, they just showed up (or didn't, hence the Lyft ride).

They do send a GA email, but it's pretty standard stuff. You can get a wristband in the morning but don't have to, show up again at 5pm if you do get a wristband or else you might lose your place, tiny-ass bags only (they're not strict though), tix are mobile, etc.

Linq put us in a room at elevator 3, floor 17. I didn't expect a view of the Sphere when I booked. Took this pic of the Sphere waking up.:D

I'm assuming that you are a Springsteen fan. I saw him at State College, PA this past March. Great show as well!?

I stayed at Harrah's. No complaints whatsoever, cheapest I could find on the strip but the room was very nice and up to date. Lobby/casino floor not as fancy or pretty as some others but I didn't really care about that. Not as many options inside for food but I did get Bobby's Burgers which was pretty good (and then a post show Ben and Jerry's).

Crucially it was extremely close to the Sphere, very convenient to arrive there and head straight over to buy merch, head straight back after the show, etc. Most of the interesting resorts are on that side anyway and we were able to do a nice little loop around in a couple of hours before dinner.

Anyone stay at MGM or far end of strip?

I stayed at Ballys for my Oct 7 and it was fine. Walked to & from show

But have a offer for free room at MGM and seeing if anyone to monorail to Sphere & ubered back. Thanks

You can't can't beat free. I'd take it. Except take an Uber to the Sphere. Early around 5:30/6pm. They will get you there or close enough for a short walk. After the show you could hang at Venetian for awhile to wait for an Uber, wait for monorail (will be a long wait. Also, may be closed by midnight), or walk to Ceasars for an Uber. Traffic is gridlocked after the show around the Sphere. Hope this helps. I saw the show on 10/25. It is incredible!

If you're in no rush you can also take the Deuce bus. Up the strip to Venetian.

Agreed in not getting an Uber near Venetian or Sphere post show. If you don't feel like hanging around the area, whether gambling or hitting up the bar or whatever... the other option would be to cross the street at Treasure Island and walk south to Bellagio. At Bellagio you can hop on a free team to Park MGM. From there it's a quick walk from Park to NYNY and then back across the street to MGM Grand.

Headache or anyone else, can you help me with an easy way to walk from Linq to the Venetian where the Zoo Station thing is.The actual hotel entrance for Linq is practically hidden. I reserved my Uber to go to the airport tmrw morning and their rideshare pickup is the Linq parking garage! I can use my phone GPS for walking but I'm not familiar with the street names at all and the signage could be better.

When my flight landed around 10:30 I took an Uber to Sphere to get my wristband. I'm 349. There was already a small group camped out at the entrance where you go in for the GA.

I walked from the Sphere to Linq and it was not easy because of all the Formula One construction. I actually love walking but this is not pedestrian friendly. Didn't expect it to be but it's pretty crazy.

Cut through the Hotels.

Leave Linq up by where the Guy Fieri restaurant is. Pass Carnival Court and enter into Harrah's. Cut through Harrah's and then you can either walk through Casino Royale or just walk in front l. Not sure what the construction is like there.

When you get to the Venetian Palazzo property - the easiest way to go is to stay on ground level and enter through the casino. Follow signs headed to Palazzo. You want to be near the big LOVE sign.

If construction is preventing you from entering through the ground level (near the gondolas) then take the first walkway up and enter through the Grand Canal Shoppes and follow signs for Palazzo.

If you can walk along the outside walkway on the second level a bit and enter in closer to the Palazzo itself that's easiest, but I don't want to get that complicated for you
