I really liked them when I first heard All I Want to Hear You Say, about 18 months ago. Since then I feel they shot their wad creatively and I found the album a pretty flat affair. I didn't dislike it, but don't know they're exceptional enough to hold interest going forwards. Time will tell.

I love it, much more consistent than Wonderful Wonderful and a cohesive, driven vision. I'd love them to take it down a notch after this, but as a single statement of an album, I'm a big fan.

I think you’re wrong on this. Both on Orphans and the SNL performance. Orphans is as poppy as the album gets, but it makes sense in context. And that context by far outstrips the last three albums (though I have a personal love for MX). And the performance on SNL... well that just seemed...

I disagree — R&H is what came next. What I’d change, is I’d have them playing All I Want is You as an epic main set closer. If they did that, swapped Bad & Pride, and replaced Elevation with The Fly... I’d call this a perfect setlist, in the context of playing JT in full.
