What a night. About my 30th show and one of the best. I saw the original Joshua
Tree tour back in '87 and this was just as good, if not better..

So last night as I'm leaving the Toronto show I spot this pass on the floor. Does anyone know what this is for? Some sort of backstage hospitality area? Red Zone related?

OK kids, so I'l be heading down to the ACC tonight and tomorrow. Have GA's for both nights.
So for those have seen prior shows this tour, where's the sweet spot to stand?
No way those can be primo seats unless you consider "primo" to have a view of the bands backs. Even if the stage were at the other end of the ACC (which it NEVER is), these seats would be very far away at the opposite end of the rink. Either way, it's a joke.
The most IDIOTIC thing is that for Toronto they are selling "Platinum Seats" BEHIND THE STAGE for $495 a pop. The only thing go you get for your $500 besides a seat is
"Get some of the best seats in the house. Live it up in Official Platinum Seats—and savor special bragging rights before and...

Perhaps she meant they DID pay that kidna dough for crappy NFL seats, but from a broker, and not from TM. No NFL teams have regular season upper level tickets priced that high at face. No way.
But that has absolutely zero bearing on why there weren't two more shows added. It's strictly about $$$ and obviously in TO people aren't willing to jump all over $300 (and $625) tickets.
But obviously people in those other markets have no issue with paying $300 for shitty seats or there wouldn't be more shows announced.
What's strange for TO is that it's a huge big money city and we're only getting two shows. Toronto is no small market town.
The whole thing stinks.
Another thing that stinks is that they're taking hundreds of millions of dollars in ticket sales 6 months in advance. There's some nice interest to be made on that cash. But this is nothing new. Obviously there ARE people willing to pay $300 for nosebleeds anbd even...
What's strange is that now for Toronto you can pull up the "interactive seat map" on Ticketmaster.ca and choose your seats. There's a few whole empty rows of seats
available. There are "VIP party package" tickets for $635 each. WTF!
Wow I'm kinda shocked to see that Toronto didn't get an extra pair of shows. It's always been a U2 hotbed as last time the ACC there were 4 shows.
Even on u2.com Toronto is marked as "sold out".
Perhaps they'll announce more later. There's certainly room in the calendar for more...
Stage will have a Brinks trucked parked to the right of Larry's drum kit. They'll need that to haul away all the $$ from soaking people $300 for upper desk tickets.
