U2 Fans Helping Other U2 Fans Get Tickets

Thanks for the tip on that. The TicketMaster Face Value Ticket Exchange isn't up yet, correct? I wonder if it's worth waiting for that, of if I should just get these $190 tickets in the 400s. I don't know much about the venue. How bad would those seats be I wonder?

U2 Fans Helping Other U2 Fans Get Tickets

I've been on the fence about the Vegas shows and money was tight when the presale happened. But lately I've been reconsidering going and I have two friends who have expressed interest as well. I'm thinking about going to the December 2 show. Ticketmaster has nothing, and Stubhub has seats...

New Album Discussion 10 - Songs of Sir, this is a Wendy's, durr

I find the lyric changes the most difficult part of the new recordings. I like to sing along and find I don't know the words, lol! I will say, I sang along to Stay and my voice fit right in!

New Album Discussion 10 - Songs of Sir, this is a Wendy's, durr

I started off a underwhelmed. I really did not care much for the SOS Streets, In general the early songs were okay. The first song that gave me goosebumps was Bad. That's always been my favorite U2 song and it remained so, even with the lyric changes. Overall, I'd say I'm reminded of how...

New Album Discussion 10 - Songs of Sir, this is a Wendy's, durr

Irvine, this is better suited for a PM but I let my subscription lapse and my inbox is full, but I just wanted to say it's great to see you are alive and kicking. You were one of my favorites from mid to late 2000s when I was really active on here. I hope you are well! Sean

New Album Discussion 10 - Songs of Sir, this is a Wendy's, durr

I've listened to One a couple of times now since I first gave it a listen last night, and honestly, I don't find it too bad at all. I really don't think Bono's voice sounds bad or "shot" at all. If anything, I think it's some of his vocal phrasing--if that's the right word-- that I'm not a fan...

New Album Discussion 9 - Larry needs new arms, ba rum pa pum pum

I agree by and large with all of this. I would add that I think he's better a singer now than he was when he was younger, but his voice is not as good, if that makes sense. The peak of his singing voice in my opinion was the Joshua Tree era. But, the fact that he learned how to sing properly...

New Album Discussion 9 - Larry needs new arms, ba rum pa pum pum

It's funny, I kind of felt that too! He sung a lot on this one. It may be true that Bono is a better singer now than he was in his youth, but his voice was better when he was younger.

Are they releasing the full 40 songs to the streaming services on March 17 or will we be forced to buy the physical product? (I mean I will probably buy the physical product anyway, but on the last couple items, I got them digitally first and then got the CDs later). I understand that the Vegas...

New Album Discussion 9 - Larry needs new arms, ba rum pa pum pum

I really like the ending. I may be the only one who feels this way, but I actually prefer early-era U2 lyrics to the more recent ones. I know Bono has said he's a better lyricist now but I disagree with him. I liked the earlier "unfinished lyrics" where there was room for interpretation...

New Album Discussion 9 - Larry needs new arms, ba rum pa pum pum

As soon as I saw a news article about Songs of Surrender, I knew I had to come here to see what Interference had to say. I've appreciated catching up and can't wait for the new album!

U2 to Perform First Concerts at MSG Sphere in Las Vegas

This has really got me thinking about how much is too much for me to pay to see U2.

    Almost Finished with U2

I've always had great experiences at all the U2 shows I've been to. Granted I've only been to 10 but I've really enjoyed the other fans as well as the band. The only one that was a bit stressful was Tokyo in 2006. The fans were very aggressive and I had to make a conscious effort to avoid...

US Politics XXXV: My Insurrection Lasted More Than 4 Hours

It's good to be back! It's funny my wife and I will sometimes ask each other, what did we DO with all the time we had before we had kids? On further reflection, I realize that I spent a of that time here!

US Politics XXXV: My Insurrection Lasted More Than 4 Hours

I think this is a mistake. Many thought Trump couldn't win in 2016. It would be a disaster if these nutcases win elections, thanks in part to the Democratic party that misread the situation.

U2 to Perform First Concerts at MSG Sphere in Las Vegas

I happened across an article about this U2 residency and had to drop in here to see what the chatter was. I would totally make a trip out to Vegas to see them. Ticket costs are a concern however. I hope they won't be exorbitant. I wonder if they will have pre-sales as they did for their tours?

US Politics XVII: Yes, squid pro row

No, he was not 100% correct. But neither was author of the article in The Root who called him a lying MF. Pete is easily my favorite candidate in the race. The author of the article was suggesting that Pete was lying in that he knew the truth but chose not to state it, instead currying favor...

US Politics XVII: Yes, squid pro row

I tend to agree with this. I just don't get the appeal of Joe Biden. I won't be exactly holding my nose if I have to vote for him, but I won't be enthused. It just bothers me that better candidates can't seem to gain traction while old Uncle Joe stays in the lead. There are other moderate...
