    Ticket questions...

Just to double check, are the original tickets purchased for the canceled show good for this one as well. I just had a horrible thought that if we needed to exchange, they would not let me in! Can anyone answer that for me? Thanks!

Hawaii - December 9 - Part XVIII (Continued)

Re: Re: Hotel Concerns Typically the hotels will do their best to find a room at a comparable property, but when space is tight and the city is sold out, any hotel room will do. Of course the guest is compensated...the hotel pays for the room and a phone call at another property, then brought...

Hawaii - December 9 - Part XVIII (Continued)

Hotel Concerns I second that. I'm in the business here and I would most definitely recommend you double checking with the hotel directly. There will almost certainly be some unhappy people here that weekend that are not going to get the rooms that they were guaranteed. I can't say much more...

Hawaii December 9th, Aloha Stadium, Part XVII Cont'd...

I had forgotten about this hotel. Some friends of mine stayed here when vacationing last summer and they liked it too. It seems a lot of students were there and the bar in the hotel was actually a lot of fun with good bar food and cheap drinks. All the internet stations have webcams, which was a...

Sorry folks, didn't mean to sound so blunt. Those hotels in Waikiki are decent clean hotels, but usually a significant discount from the big chain resorty types. Some even come with kitchens.

This place is great if all you are going to do is go to the show, the memorials and the swap meet. It's not anywhere near within walking distance to the major tourist area (Waikiki), good shoppin or nice beaches. The part of town it is in, well, is a little bit ghetto. BUT, if you're down for...

Dinner cruise space? Hey does anyone know if the cruise is full yet? I want to go, but have to check on my friends flying in from Cali for the week. Will the sign up page be taken down once capacity is reached? Thanks!

If you run out of luck on here, try Honolulu's Craigslist. Last time I looked there were several selling GA at face value.

    U2 definite for Soldier Field!

Re: Re: Re: Re: U2 definite for Soldier Field! I had that thought too Cleazer. It would be awesome for folks here. We don't get anything here first.

    I don't see it on U2.com either.

Hawaii, April 8th - Aloha Stadium! - Part XV

Gosh! I lost track of the Hawaii thread after the chaos when they postponed the tour. Nice to be back and see the same people here. Since I am catching up, I'll put my two cents in by bullet point. 1. I thought I had read somewhere that Aloha Stadium wanted it kept in baseball configuration...

Hawaii, April 8th - Aloha Stadium! - Part XIV

Not to add more fuel to the fire, here's an article from todays Honolulu Advertiser... Posted at 2:43 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2006 More U2 tickets released; second concert still up in air By Derek Paiva Advertiser Staff Writer More tickets have been put up for sale for U2's April 8 show...

Hawaii, April 8th - Aloha Stadium! - Part XIV

I think it's doubtful they're going to switch the configuration for the concert now. They just moved it into the baseball configuration and the local papers were reporting that they might just keep it that way permanently. It costs something like 15 grand to move it to one configuration or the...

Hawaii, April 8th (and 9th?!) - Aloha Stadium! - Part XIII

kgmbnews@kgmb9.com But I don't know what good it is going to do. All they will say is that they are reporting what they heard, and if I remember right, she clearly said it was a possibility, not a for sure thing. Sometimes the news gets the facts wrong. I'd just forget about it, come...

Kim Gennaula is the anchor person, all she does is read what's put in front of her. The producer and news director are responsible for the content.

Carek is right, you can enjoy all that Hawaii has to offer on a budget. Lord knows I did when I came here for the first time. Lots of things are free Waimea Falls/Bay, the drive around North Shore, 99% of the public beaches, the scenery. Hanauma Bay is like $5 to get in and snorkel sets are...

Hawaii, April 8th (and 9th?!) - Aloha Stadium! - Part XIII

I was actually watching when they made that statement, and realizing that they are not the news leaders here, commented later in my post that they are the ones that reported last week the email hoax of the Honolulu Police Dept on a ticket writing kick to raise money for the department, and...

Hawaii, April 8th (and 9th?!) - Aloha Stadium! - Part XIII

This article is a little misleading. I think what it means is that travel authorities here are now advertising more to an 'upscale' clientele more. Of course, with the laws of supply and demand, genrally the more something is in demand, the more it is going to cost. The people that can pay more...
