around xmas time, our local fm station which normally only plays the usual 'common songs' (wowy, one, streets, vertigo, beautiful day ect ect) plays "its xmas (baby please come home)!) on occassion!
i know its my local force but i totally agree, s yorks police are a total farce when it comes to big events, this gig and hillsboro :pray: being prime examples
the sun had only just set before the u2 set, all the way through elbow it was blaring from behind the claw and it wasnt comfortable to watch them. although my mate came out with a classic line, "i hope that suns gone before the end of today!" :der::lmao:

the only bit of trouble i saw was at the tram stop, the doors closed as the tram was rammed full and a youth started to bang on the windows and shout abuse because they didnt allow him in for obvious reasons
absolutely amazing concert!!!
my only real gripe was the screen during 'crazy tonight', it was opened up all the way through the song so you couldnt really see the video properly, other than that, breathtaking!

pretty good transport links to it, the stadium itself is not that far away from j.34 off the m1 and theres a few park & ride carparks about. just get on a yellow or purple route tram heading towards the stadium / arena stop:wave:

i can tell ya that the don valley is very spaced out due to it being primarily built as an athletics stadium (even though the sheffield eagles rugby team and rotherham united football club play there) and those wanting seated tickets may want to buy...
