Adam came right by us to play Steets on Night 2 and it was fucking amazing. He even let some people touch the neck of the guitar. Pride to Streets has to be the best song transition I've ever seen with people singing the "whoh oh oh oh" bits, and Streets with the African flags as the background...

I think you were the one I swapped tickets with many months back too. You were swapping cos your sis went to Night Two. Small world? :wink: Garrett didn't do much. He was just to the right of the stage at the start as Bono was walking past. Not sure if he stayed there though.

Haha, how hilarious was it. :madspit: The "Bono" at that show went on the same rants the real Bono does and the first 5-6 songs were to the exact setlist of U2 that night! I went to order some pints and "Bono" gets up on the bar table. Nearly knocked the beers over! Tony Liberatore was there...

We got front row right near the right circle and that guy was directly opposite. He had the same jacket and everything! We went to The Australian U2 Experience after and the lead singer of that looked exactly like that guy in the crowd so does anyone know if it was him?

We lined up at 7am for Melbourne and got into the same barricade as people with tents that had lined up over night. If you get there before 10ish you should definitely be fine.

I'm sure they'll be back but I'd be really surprised if it was before 2010. Hopefully it wont take another 8-9 years or we're looking at 2015 :|

LOL! I didn't know that stuff really happened. I'm sure the Sydney gag was on purpose as it was just a little joke to test the crowd. Typical Irish humour. I went to both Melbourne shows flying over from Perth and they were fantastic nights. The whole trip was fantastic. Thank you U2!

Would be great to see. U2 very rarely play three nights in a row these days though but 2-3 songs like Live 8 shouldn't be out of the question. If they bring some other bands over from the UK/Ireland it'd be fookin mega!

I've stayed there before ages back. Pretty decent place! Also try Hotel Victoria or Carlton Crest if you are willing to travel a bit out.

Well if they did do the BDO it'd save on the expensive lighting and set, but would U2 be willing to play a Aussie festival? There are no huge names from the first group of bands released so it could be a hope. Metallica were willing to do the BDO but would U2 be? :hmm:

Pride- In The Name of Love an obvious song for such a cause. Streets- With Live 8 raising money for Africa this would be the perfect song. One- With the One Campaign it'd be the most fitting song. They're my picks. :wink:

Stuck In A Moment to replace ABOY NYD to occasionally be replaced by ISHF, Kite, AIWIY, Stay. Pride replaced by WOWY, SATS, WUDM, Mofo, She's A Mystery. Walk On after Bad to replace 40 would be sweet too. :wink:

What a joke. One is still an awesome song and one of the songs that I'm sure most people want to hear. The comments made regarding Africa must come from someone who takes everyday life for granted. Maybe he should go spend a year in Africa and see how he handles it. Back to the subject, drop...
