Well I have a few. I have U23 on cassette (found it at a Wherehouse record store for $4), A Celebration 7", U2 Pac II (7" singles pack), lots of bootlegs, all my vinyl albums!
Favorite U2 lyrics
"It's not if I believe in love, But if love believes in me" and "I know she wants more than a party"
Favorite U2 band members
It's all about the band, man! But Edge rocks!
I was introduced to U2 by
Don't quite remember, but I think it might have been an old LA radio station called KMET
U2 shows I've seen
Too many to mention (at least 50 times)! But a few highlights:
first show - Hollywood Palladium 1981
other extra memorbable gigs - US Festival (Devore) 1983, Seattle Popmart 1997 (road trip! well, air trip!), MANY shows during Elevation and Vertigo (the Heart / Ellipse baby!), but especially Honolulu, HI Dec. 2006 (I'm still buzzin' from that one)
Have you met U2?
I've been close enough to wave / shake hands, and Bono crawled around and flirted with my wife / caressed her hand on the Vertigo Tour (San Diego)
Propaganda member?
Yes
Other Bands
My music interests are far and wide:
old school punk - X, Bad Religion, TSOL, Youth Brigade, Minutemen, fIREHOSE, Meat Puppets, etc
rock 'n roll baby - Beatles, Zep, Clapton(my next favorite artist to see live after U2)
alt country - Beat Farmers!, Uncle Tupelo, Wilco, Son Volt, Ryan Adams, Whiskeytown, Jayhawks
easy listening - my wife & I like to check out a Chris Isaak gig now & then - dude is hilarious
other stuff - I like all that old 80's crap - The Alarm, Psych Furs, Police, etc., newer stuff too - Arcade Fire, Chemical Bros.
Ok, I could go on forever - basically I'll try anything! I used to manage a record store years ago - Music Plus (yes, in the old days people actually had to leave their home and go to a store to buy music!) and that influenced me to be open to just about any music - never quite warmed up to rap though.
