good luck with the no beverages going into the stadium. people do need to drink water since it will be hot. :|

I am sure they will be sure to have 5 dollar bottles of water for sale. It is Live Nation and the University after all.

Yeah, I hope they'll relax that rule a bit. In some venues which they had said no outside beverages/food, they actually ended up letting people in with a sealed water bottle. Which was a life saver.

Especially if the weather is going to be hot. We can probably try to persuade security to change their mind. But just be prepared and bring money to buy water inside too if they don't budge on it and we'll have to throw away our water.

I ordered some tickets from stubhub for general admission floor. they just came in the mail and they say 'ga stand - tunnel' on them with a 'section g' listed. Does anyone know if there's more than one ga section? Did I just get ripped off?

^yes, very important :D

Also, in Baltimore, where the weather was also very hot and humid, I wrapped a bandanna around my wrist and used it to wipe my face throughout the show because we were just getting soaked with the humidity. Just an idea if you want to do something similar. I learned the trick from Rafael Nadal, of course... :D

You can also use one of those sports wristbands, or bring a small towel with you I guess.

Room at the Loews Vandy Hotel

I have a friend who cannot make it to concert this weekend, so he will be cancelling his room at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. He had a reservation for one night - Saturday 7/2.

The hotel is on West End Avenue and is within 'walkable' distance from the stadium. (.81 miles)

I asked him to cancel his reservation tomorrow (June 28) at 10:00am Central in case anyone on this board wants to try and grab it after he cancels it.

Good luck!

Can you point me in the direction of where that is on the site? Cause this is what I see and I'd really love to check it out.

I was thinking of checking the sporting goods store to see if it had one of these:

Frogg Toggs Chilly Pad - Dick's Sporting Goods

I wish I had thought of that a few weeks ago and ordered it online - no way it would get here in time if I ordered it today :(

 Wooow! That sounds kinda magical. And not expensive either. Hm, maybe I'll check out the Dick's at the mall...

fyi, this was posted on the Marriott's Vanderbilt's facebook page this morning.

"Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University
Attending the U2 concert on Saturday? We are the closest hotel to the stadium and still have rooms left. Call our hotel at 615.321.1300 to make reservations!"

It looks per the website and by calling (which I just did) they are available for $229 plus tax on that Sat. night....

Taken today from the garage next to the stadium. The stage will be huge compared to the stadium.

My seats are in section E row 5. that should be just below the lighter colored seats to the left of the picture.
