last night was first of the tour for me. for anyone interested, i walked onto the floor at 8:20pm and was 3 people off the rail 10 feet from the stage. no reason to line up for hours with this GA set up.
still waiting for a phone call from ticketmaster, they said i would receive on today. honestly i don't care if they call or not, i am fine holding the code for possible future dates.
for what its worth, even with all the pain in the ass verified fan club issues, this was one of the easier u2...
Since not all tickets are being sold through ticketmaster, and the codes are therefore not being cross-referenced across partner sites live, and you could buy 2 tickets right now on ticketmaster, and 2 tickets using the same code on a partner site, will the purchases ever be cross referenced...
I didn't line up. I stayed at my hotel to watch the wizards game till about 8pm. Walked down to bc place and got in around 8:30pm. Looked at merch, got a drink and finally walked into the red zone around 8:55.
Red Zone
walked into the red zone at 8:55pm Friday night and ended up 3rd from rail next to the b stage. plenty of room to move around, and also gave a good view of the main stage. the crane is definitely awkward at times, blocking the view mostly of bono occasionally.
easiest presale I've had for U2, including propaganda days.
4 GA Pitch 2 for Croker show
1 GA Red Zone for Vancouver
1 GA Chicago ( bought 2 hours after the onsale time)
2 GA for FedEx (bought 3 hours after the onsale time)

for what it's worth, was told U2 are going to play DC around end of June, beginning of July. These dates would be after NHL and NBA playoffs. Scheduling still taking place. Reliable source with involved company, but dates are still not locked down.

I'm sure someone has this, but what were the dates of the first single releases from an album? aren't they usually september followed by a november album release for christmas sales, then a march-april tour?
I think I remember years ago reading Paul McGuinness say the release schedule was based on the grammys. A single released in September would be eligible for the Grammys this year, but the album released in November would be eligible for the following year. that way they can appear at and...
in support of the secondary market:
almost everyone complaining about the scalpers are people who have seen multiple shows, would like to see more, and have hours to kill waiting in lines. Most people aren't like that. The secondary market gives them the opportunity to see a show they might...
