For old time's sake I might as well kick us off with a little custom setlist thread. It's not quite a "predict next tour's set" thread, in that the concept of this one comes with three criteria:
1. Assume that over half of the songs played on night one won't be played on night two.
2. The distinction between the two nights is not acoustic/electric. The band flagged in interviews that if they were to do this, they would need to make it abundantly clear to fans before tickets are purchased - people will be upset if they find themselves holding tickets to a format they don't want. No such signal was given to fans.
3. The distinction between the two nights is not hits/rarities. Again, a signal needed to be given to fans.
Beyond that, go nuts.
Here are a couple from me.
NIGHT ONE
1. The Miracle
2. Volcano
3. Vertigo
4. Mysterious Ways
5. California
6. Angel of Harlem
7. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
8. All I Want Is You
9. Song for Someone (acoustic)
10. Stuck in a Moment (acoustic)
11. A Man and a Woman (acoustic)
12. Every Breaking Wave (acoustic)
13. Bad
14. With or Without You
15. Where the Streets Have No Name
16. Beautiful Day
17. The Fly
18. Cedarwood Road
19. Please
20. Sunday Bloody Sunday
21. Magnificent
22. One
23. Love Is Blindness
24. The Troubles
NIGHT TWO
1. Invisible
2. Beautiful Day
3. I Will Follow
4. This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now
5. Elevation
6. Even Better Than the Real Thing
7. Magnificent
8. Desire (acoustic)
9. The Miracle (acoustic)
10. Staring at the Sun (acoustic)
11. Every Breaking Wave (acoustic)
12. Raised By Wolves
13. Sunday Bloody Sunday
14. Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me
15. Mysterious Ways
16. Vertigo
17. Bullet the Blue Sky
18. Running to Stand Still
19. Where the Streets Have No Name
20. Out of Control
21. Volcano
22. Gloria
23. Iris
24. Pride
Both include seven new songs, both have plenty of hits to keep casuals entertained, and both have some fan favourites to keep hardcore fans happy (including some Pop representation), yet they are very different shows. I just realised that I forgot to put One in the second set and it's unlikely it would miss a night ... oh well. Maybe put it in place of Pride to close?
