The Jets owner wrote a formal letter requesting the game change in April and they didn't make the change until August.

I just read this on the Jets website: Johnson's Letter to NFL on Schedule Conflict Take note of the date. The NFL waited over 4 months to make this decision to change the schedule.

I think you guys are actually blaming the wrong party here. The Jets did switch their schedule but logic makes me believe they couldn't have had the stage down in time anyway, even if the game was still at 4:15pm. If it takes up to 2 days and the concert is over by 11pm-midnight on Friday night...
