According to tidal it was produced by Ryan Tedder, Steve Lillywhite and Jacknife Lee. No wonder for the mess. They had a great pop melody in their hands and they lost their chance once again.

In Rainbows consisted mainly of guitar driven "proper" pop songs which evoked the generic conventions found on the Bends and on Ok Computer. A Moon Shaped Pool might evoke the mood or the tone of In Rainbows, but for me at least it doesn't evoke the generic choices made within In Rainbows at all.

Or because Uncut's new editor John Mulvey is not very fond of U2. And i suppose he is the one that assigns the reviews. Another indication of the way Uncut handles u2 nowadays is the fact that SOI review is one paragraph only, whereas both HTDAAB and NLOTH reviews were 2 pages each.

Uncut awards SOI at it's latest issue with 6/10. What's funny though is that the review comes from the same writer (Andy Gill), who awarded SOI with 3 out of 5 stars in the Independent. I can't find any reason for the same writer to review the same record at two different publications.

Since i also made the same comment regarding the acoustic's Song For Someone response at twitter, i never made a distinction between right or wrong. I just mentioned what i perceived as a positive response toward the acoustic version of the song. Nothing more.

Judging by the feedback on twitter and fb, the acoustic Song For Someone generated much more positive buzz than the electric Miracle. So i guess this ''acoustic predilection'' is a welcomed twist to casual fans.
