One the latest classic to be butchered. Atrocious stuff.

U2 to Perform First Concerts at MSG Sphere in Las Vegas

It says , Inside, there will be 17,500 seats, standing room only for 2,5000 guests. So possibly a small standing area .

U2 to Perform First Concerts at MSG Sphere in Las Vegas

Will the gigs be all seated affairs ? If the floor is standing, then there is some hope of getting reasonable priced tickets but I suspect the lure of flogging 5000 dollar floor seats is too much for a venue that cost 2 billion to build.

New Album Discussion 9 - Larry needs new arms, ba rum pa pum pum

Wholeheartedly agree, bloody awful songs, they have butchered 2 of their best songs.

    European Set Changes

Setlist is much better in last few weeks. Delighted they got rid of that Cedarwood Road and Iris section ,it was poor,a real crowd killer. Great to have more Achtung Baby songs in the mix .

    TICKET DROPS

Belfast is a crap market , it didn't sell out in 2015 and that's after they slashed the ticket prices . I saw 180 pound seats reduced to 60 a few days before . I was tempted to go but its the other end of the country from me.

    TICKET DROPS

They played 12 outdoor gigs in Europe last year as opposed to 27 in the US . You only have to have look at ticket prices on Stubhub to see demand is high for the European gigs . U2 always hold back tickets for gigs to release the week of the gigs irrespective of demand.

    TICKET DROPS

Oddly enough it seems there was a GA ticket drop for Belfast 2 yesterday.

    TICKET DROPS

They are still extremely popular in Europe ,there is huge demand for most of the cities and Europe has been underplayed over the last few tours . America is a different story ,its been saturated over the last few tours and the ticket prices were ridiculously high.

    TICKET DROPS

Drops have been plentiful , especially in the days before a gig. None of the German dates actually sold out ,they had to cut alot of the 230 euro seats down to 126 euro to shift them. Plenty of standing tickets released for all dates so far from what I can see. I dont foresee you having any...

    TICKET DROPS

Someone needs to keep track of all these ticket price cuts and report it to the competition authority in the US.

    ***SPOILERS*** U2 eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour - Rehearsals/Soundcheck Thread #2

I wouldnt be a huge fan of the song but they played it in Dublin in 2015 and it was brilliant . Really high tempo ,got the crowd really going ,they played it on the B stage . Have to say the rehearsed setlists are piss poor. Too many new songs ,they were a real dampner in 2015 .
  17. F

    TICKET DROPS

Only in the US ,where demand was much lower. In Europe there was no verified fan and there are electronic tickets for alot of the venues. Copenhagen,Madrid,Paris,London,Amsterdam are print at home tickets. Berlin,Hamburg,Cologne,Lisbon ,Milan,Manchester are hard copy paper tickets and Dublin...

Any chance of any other tour dates in Europe?

I suspect it boils down to Livenation and their control of venues in the US. In the US they own some venues ,and have special arrangements with other so the venue rental is much less than in Europe. It's all about maximising revenue when it comes to Livenation ,they are an extremely greedy...

eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour 2018 - Rumors & General Discussion

They are selling tickets behind the stage ,they are available in the presale now. The prices are nuts ,171 dollars plus fees for section 102 and 101 behind the stage . Section 114 which is near the back is 325 dollars plus fees .

eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour 2018 - Rumors & General Discussion

Would they play stadia or arenas in Australia I wonder ? There is probably too much demand for arenas . It would probably have more sense to bring the Joshua tree down there .

eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour 2018 - Rumors & General Discussion

Well from a business point of view it makes perfect sense but there is more to the music business than money ,something that Livenation and Rapino do not understand. There are plenty of modern arenas in Europe capable of hosting concerts ,its not really an issue . Its more down to money . Its...

eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour 2018 - Rumors & General Discussion

After listening to this interview with Michael Rapino ,CEO of Livenation, I think I have a better idea why U2 are targeting the US market more than Europe. Rapino says different venues will compete for the big acts and some will offer him better deals than others ,they will effectively pay...
