I know music is subjective but come on Keef, keep it classy.

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/music/keith-richards-plenty-plenty-article-1.2346653 I mean I'm a fan of Hip Hop, Metal, and the Rolling Stones so I'm not going to take sides here but blatantly bashing other genres and bands has never been 'oh so cool and hip.' It rather makes one look...

    Let's talk about Adam.

I really feel that he so rocks on this album to the point that it's as if he is possessed by John Entwistle. Especially on 'Iris' where his sounds the busiest. Although his bass playing owned NLOTH, SOI makes Adam sound AWOL on the former. I swear, in my opinion, all four members are on their A...

Ok NOW I understand Ian Mcculloch's antipathy towards U2

It was never jealousy on his part per say in my opinion but rather, unlike most U2 haters, there are actually valid points. Not that I necessarily agree with them 100%. I also find what guitarist Will Sergeant told a CBS interviewer back in the early 80's to be ballsy and admirable. I wish there...

Oridinary Love live at the Oscars Appretiation Thread

I feel that it is by far the best version of that song. The acoustics of the Kodak Theater helped tremendously on that one. I loved it when Bono sang falsetto when singing the title and The Edge sounded even better than on the Tonight Show version. A standing ovation from a normally jaded...

I love Edge's nod to Stuart Adamson in 'Invisible.'

The late guitarist Stewart Adamson of The Skids and Big Country fame. He pioneered the guitar-sounding-like-bagpipes style. Edge's guitar sounds like bagpipes in the new song. He always cited him as an influence.

Did Guy-O manage the Red Hot Chili Peppers as well as Madonna?

Or was he just friends with the band members? I read little bits and pieces of 'Scar Tissue' and I know he was A.K.'s confidant but I don't know if he actually did any managing for them.

Who else here prefers Paul Epworth's remix to 'Ordinary Love?'

I for one think and feel that its a far superior version to the original. The rhythm section sounds better, especially Adam's bass tone. Also, the verse, "birds fly high in the summer sky..." sounded better-placed in the intro to me. You can hear more (imo) interesting textures emanating from...
