Here we are...the final rankings. 74 voters participated. Thank you everyone! How the scores were calculated: Basically, it's simply an average of the rank voters gave the album. So the lower the average, the better the score...kinda like golf. As everyone guessed, 1, 2, and 3 are no surprise...

So we're at about the halfway point. 1 and 2 are obvious...maybe even 3 as well. But positions 4 thru 12 are all over the place. I'm finding the results, so far, most interesting. Other than 1 and 2, there are no "runaway" decisions to this point. Keep voting :)

Early update... No surprises at 1 and 2 so far...but the rest are very close to one another. This method is going to work far better than the last poll I did. But, we have quite some time before the end of the month.....

While I'll agree that Pop was ahead of it's time, it never felt complete to me. I like the album, but it in my personal ranking, it's the lowest of the collection, IMO. Of course, I realize it's all a matter of personal opinion and the age of the fan, which is why I opted to take the time to...

Alright, the fans have spoken. Disclaimers: I recorded a total of 71 voters (32 voters in the <18 to 28 range, and the other 39 voters in the 29 to 45+ range). A few of you submitted an extra album in the 3rd spot and I recorded them if I felt there was no true "3rd" place distinction. So...

Does anyone make their own "mix" CD's of U2's live stuff? Does anyone even burn CD's anymore? Anyway... I took some of my favorite live moments from the various DVD/CDi's and put them to audio to burn up a disc to listen in the car. I love how this latest one I made seems pretty darn...

There are a lot of positive responses here...that's good. But I know most folks don't really "dislike" the album...they just don't rank it very high in U2's catalog of work. I rank October better than several other records...I would probly put it somewhere in the middle of the pack. Let's...

A friend of mine, who is a pretty big U2 fan, tried to convince me that the band has never, and will never, perform One Tree Hill live because it's too heartbreaking for Bono to sing. :shifty:

Quick update: AB and JT are still the far and away leaders. Only R&H and Passengers are voteless. I am going to close voting at 11:59pm on 7/31/2011. I'm guessing that I'll have a big enough sample by then to declare a winner.

Streets has always been a top 5 favorite of mine, especially live. IMO, the best "version" is from the Elevation tour. Bono's soft chanting combined with the rotating lights during the build-up is chilling. Then his run around the heart before hitting those first words is amazing. How he's...
